Ocean Tomo has entered into a formal collaboration partnership with TechNexus, Chicago's venture collaborative, for accelerated development of propriety products and services supported by corporate partnership.
The focus of this collaboration will be to utilize Ocean Tomo's strategic processes and patent driven research to determine the field of opportunity -- areas where there is freedom to operate and likelihood to file patents to protect new solutions -- and TechNexus' entrepreneurial network to actually build solutions.
Each project will begin with client recognition that the best solution requires a 'start-up' environment not found in the corporate setting. In most cases, the corporate partner will participate in funding of the project and be first in line as a customer or acquirer of the end product. Ocean Tomo will make intellectual property valuation, patent quality ratings, investment, risk and transactional advisory services available to all TechNexus clients as a preferred provider.
