Ocean Tomo announced today that the Ocean Tomo Transactions team represented a wireless audio technology company in the sale of its cutting edge wireless audio patent portfolio to a leading consumer electronics company.
With the global wireless audio device market estimated to triple in size to over $24.5 billion dollars in the next five years, the acquirer of these patents will be in a much better position to extract value from them through its existing and future products than the seller, a small enterprise.
This transaction is yet another example of the growing number of successful transactions that Ocean Tomo professionals have closed where disruptive technology played a key role, with a cumulative value in excess of $650 million.
