Ocean Tomo is proud to welcome Sid Rattner, Senior Advisor, to oversee Royalty Audit Contract Compliance and License Management services.

Sid Rattner has over 35 years of experience in the accounting profession including 22years performing royalty audits and related matters. Throughout his career, Sid has been responsible for more than 250 royalty and other contract-based compliance engagements.

With revenues from the licensing of intellectual property rights surpassing $115 billion, our Royalty Audit Contract Compliance and License Management services provide a complete package of strategic license portfolio management, monitoring and auditing. Ocean Tomo assists its clients in both improving revenue streams by securing compliance with licensing and other business contracts as well as creating procedures to manage revenue payments and attract additional licensees.

Sid’s royalty audit experience has largely been on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, leading US universities and US Federal agencies. His work spans a wide range of technologies including consumer electronics and manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and software, as well as other licensed products. He has conducted royalty audits in the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Russia and several European countries.

Sid is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) and the Illinois Technology Association (ITA). He has spoken or conducted workshops focused on royalty audit agreement language for AUTM, the Licensing Executives Society (LES) and several university technology transfer departments. Kristi L. Stathis is the Marketing Director for Ocean Tomo and serves on the board for the Center for Applied Innovation, a Chicago-based non-profit organization created to manage education, public policy outreach and related economic activity around applied technology and intellectual property (IP) rights in the State of Illinois and around the world. She is the co-creator of the Center for Applied Innovation’s Invent for Humanity™ Technology Transfer Exchange Fair, a community, marketplace and event facilitating Appropriate Technology transfer for the betterment of mankind. She also serves on the board of The Children’s Research Fund, principal benefactor of the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, the research arm of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, having served as the annual campaign co-chair in 2013.
