Ocean Tomo CEO James E. Malackowski and CFO Robert M. Hess will moderate panels at Notre Dame’s IDEA Week
Next Week, Ocean Tomo’s CEO James E. Malackowski will moderate the Practical Blockchain panel during IDEA Week. It’s easy to get lost in the jargon, technology, trends and controversy surrounding blockchain. Add regulatory issues governing cryptocurrency and it is more than challenging to assess how any of it can have practical application. The panel discussion and interactive workshop will provide an understanding of these new tools as applied in the real world. Executives will present a case study example addressing the similarities and differences between blockchain and cryptocurrency as well as the Initial Coin Offerings and Security Token Offerings.
Ocean Tomo’s CFO Robert M. Hess will moderate the Patents in Practice Panel. The panel discussion will feature four experts with practical patent experience: a patent prosecution attorney, an in-house patent counsel, a patent valuation expert, and a patent investor. They will share techniques to successfully commercialize intellectual property, common pitfalls, and how to focus research towards a solid intellectual property position able to protect your market and defends against the claims of others.
Notre Dame’s Idea Week is a weeklong innovation festival hosting business, technology, and entertainment events to provide entrepreneurs, students, and community members the practical knowledge, creative inspiration, and social foundation they need to innovate within their own careers, studies, and communities.
