The final chapter of the “Evolving IP Market” concludes our video series with a discussion of the recently established trading exchange for Intellectual Property (IP) rights. Created at the urging of the Governor of Illinois’ Head of Economic Development, the Intellectual Property Exchange International (IPXI) is the world’s first financial exchange that facilitates non-exclusive licensing and trading of IP rights.
This week’s segment dissects the role of the exchange in creating an efficient and transparent marketplace for IP licensing, and explains the mechanisms behind Unit Licensing Right (ULR) contracts, the first instrument to be launched on the exchange. The full video, complete with detailed descriptions of ULR contracts and the exchange’s founding members, is now available on YouTube.
This concludes our “Evolving IP Market” video series. Thank you for watching! All comments and suggestions should be directed to Kristi Stathis at [email protected].
