Neil is a Analyst in the Financial Experts business unit working out of the Reston (DC Metro) office of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held. Neil provides litigation support and forensic accounting consulting services, including financial statement analysis, the application of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory compliance, valuation, calculations of economic damages, evaluation of complex accounting and financial issues, and identification of key underlying facts and trends. His casework frequently involves research related to GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards and industry-specific authoritative literature. He is responsible for assisting counsel with document review and discovery, preparation of expert reports, and analysis of opposing experts’ reports. His recent experience includes calculating economic damages resulting from an alleged partial breach of contract between multiple nuclear utilities and the United States Department of Energy.
Neil earned a Masters in Accounting and a BBA in Accounting from the College of William & Mary. Neil has passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in Virginia and is awaiting licensure.
