Chris Santos is a Senior Analyst in the Financial Expert business unit, located in the Reston, VA (DC Metro) office of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held. Mr. Santos provides litigation support and forensic accounting consulting services, including financial statement analysis, the application of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory compliance, valuation and economic damages support services, evaluation of complex accounting and finance issues, and the identification of significant accounting findings and trends. His casework frequently involves research related to GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards, as well as industry-specific authoritative literature. Mr. Santos is responsible for assisting counsel with document review and discovery, preparation of expert reports, and analysis of opposing experts’ reports.
Mr. Santos previously worked at Deloitte for over two years as an audit and assurance professional. During that time, he led a component audit as an audit senior for a Fortune 500 company and gained experience with other external audit engagements across the IT services and emerging growth company industries.
Mr. Santos graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting. He is licensed as a CPA in Virginia and is currently pursuing his CFE certification.
