Rebounding Market Holds True
CHICAGO, May 6, 2010 – Ocean Tomo, the nation’s premiere Intellectual Capital Merchant Banc™ firm, announced the expansion of its Valuation Practice Group to include additional Intellectual Property (IP) expertise related to non-patent assets and access to tangible asset appraisers to provide end-to-end solutions, including opinions for financial reporting, tax, merger and acquisition planning, litigation planning and support, as well as fairness opinions for large corporate transactions.
Following the firm’s ground-breaking announcement of fixed fee appraisals for patents and technology, today’s news completes the planned realignment of the firm’s Valuation Practice Group.
New Managing Director, Roy D’Souza, leads the Valuation Practice Group, overseeing teams in Chicago and San Francisco. D’Souza brings a wealth of experience in the valuation arena, focusing on intangible and tangible assets for financial reporting, tax matters, M&A, litigation, financing, and general business planning. Before that he worked for ten years at KPMG in various managerial roles, as well as Coopers & Lybrand and Comdisco in tax management roles.
