Daniel Medina is an Analyst with Ocean Tomo’s Valuation Practice, working out of the Chicago office. The practice area appraises intellectual property and various intangible assets for acquisitions and divestitures, bankruptcy and restructuring, establishment of intellectual property monetization strategies including licensing, mergers and joint venture/partnership formations, litigation support, and financial reporting and tax matters. The practice also has experience valuing business enterprises and equity interests for litigation support purposes that includes expert testimony experience in state and federal courts that includes Delaware Chancery Court.

Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Mr. Medina interned as an Acquisition Analyst for a family office that specializes in Real-Estate Private Equity. As an intern, Mr. Medina was responsible for due diligence and valuation of prospective deals over $15 million in the manufactured home community sub-sector. Prior to working at a family office, Mr. Medina was also an Asset Management intern for Ramirez Asset Management, a fixed income asset manager, where he assisted with credit analysis and conducted market research for the firm’s newly developed stable value strategy by building an extensive database of the top state and local defined benefit as well as defined contribution plans in the nation. Additionally, Mr. Medina was a Senior Analyst for Northwestern Capital Management at Northwestern University. As a Senior Analyst, Mr. Medina worked with a team of Junior Analysts to develop stock pitch recommendations in the Industrial and Technology sectors to the board.

Mr. Medina holds a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Business Institutions from Northwestern University.
