Priscilla Y. Medeiros, Ph.D. is a Director in the global Intellectual Property Disputes Financial Expert Testimony group, working from the San Francisco office of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held. She holds B.A. and M.S. in Economics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and a Ph.D. in Managerial Economics and Strategy from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Dr. Medeiros’ 5+ years of consulting experience includes the analysis and quantification of economic damages on the subject of intellectual property value in industries including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer products. Dr. Medeiros has also analyzed a variety of issues arising from antitrust allegations such as monopolization, exclusionary conduct, tying and price discrimination. She has also investigated the competitive effects of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Dr. Medeiros also worked on matters related to assessing impact and damages in class action litigation.
In addition to her litigation consulting experience, Dr. Medeiros worked as an associate professor of quantitative marketing in IBMEC, a leading business school in Brazil. She published many papers in academic journals and presented her research in a variety of international conferences and universities.
