Robert M. Mazur is a Managing Director in Ocean Tomo’s Expert Testimony practice in San Francisco and has extensive accounting and finance experience across a variety of industries, including litigation consulting.
Mr. Mazur’s work for the last fifteen years has focused on the analysis and quantification of damages in over one hundred litigation cases involving intellectual property – patent, trademark, trade secrets and copyright – and other matters, including alter ego, antitrust, breach of contract, business valuation, forensic accounting and loss of earnings in the retail, consumer products, construction, real estate, financial services and other industries. Mr. Mazur is experienced with the evaluation, selection and preparation of lost profits, reasonable royalty, unjust enrichment, valuation and other economic damages models and has testified in both Federal and state court.
Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Mr. Mazur was a litigation consultant at Degnan & Associates. In addition, Mr. Mazur has over twenty-five years of experience in industry accounting and finance management positions, with over fifteen years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Mazur has held management positions as the CFO for a privately-held retail chain and as Vice President, CFO, Controller and Treasurer for divisions of American Express, Teledyne and USLIFE. Mr. Mazur is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California and holds an MBA and a BS in Accounting and Management from DePaul University. In addition, Bob has earned the designations of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from NACVA and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from the Life Management Institute.
