Crosby is an Analyst in the Financial Experts business unit and does financial forensics work out of the Reston (DC Metro) office, a part of J.S. Held. Crosby provides litigation support and forensic accounting consulting services, including financial statement analysis, the application of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory compliance, valuation, calculations of economic damages, evaluation of complex accounting and financial issues, and identification of key underlying facts and trends. His casework frequently involves research related to GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards and industry-specific authoritative literature. He is responsible for assisting counsel with document review and discovery, preparation of expert reports, and analysis of opposing experts’ reports. His recent experience includes calculating economic damages resulting from an alleged partial breach of contract between multiple nuclear utilities and the United States Department of Energy.
Crosby earned a Masters in Accounting and a BBA in Accounting, both from James Madison University. He holds certifications in Python and Excel. Crosby is currently pursuing his CPA designation in Virginia and has passed several parts of the exam.n
