Matthew Johnson is a Director for the Intellectual Property Disputes Financial Expert Testimony practice, working from the Chicago headquarters of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held. The practice area quantifies economic damages arising from intellectual property disputes and provides general litigation support.
Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Mr. Johnson worked for Competition Dynamics, where he performed econometric analyses and calculated damages in complex IP and patent portfolio disputes for clients across the telecommunications, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical industries. He has experience preparing expert reports and supporting testimony before multiple U.S. district courts, arbitration panels, and the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Johnson holds a master’s degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin and a dual BA degree in economics and psychology from Boston College.
